Charity Fun Shoot 11th September 2016


This years Charity Fun Shoot was held in aid of a charity for local youngster Theo Power who is suffering from Neuroblastoma and has to go to America for treatment. Many thanks to everyone who attended or contributed in any way to make the fun shoot a success.

With the club’s donation a grand total of £500 was raised and passed to the charity. A photographer from Lancashire Telegraph was present and a report will appear in the local newspaper.

The HFT style event was exciting and this years winner was the current ‘top shot’ trophy holder Gareth Whalley, 2nd Lee Billington and 3rd Steve O’Brien .

The Duck Shoot once again provided entertainment for all and this years winner was John Curtis.

The star event however had to be the Antique Rifle Shoot with participants using two vintage rifles, one a .25 smooth bore rifle. They don’t make them like that anymore. The target was a knock down rat set at 15yds. The winner was Gary Whalley, the prize was free membership to the club for next year.
